Ranku Is Our Ninth PITCH Finalist

Congrats to Kim Taylor and Cecilia Retelle, the team behind Ranku, the latest finalist to be announced for our upcoming PITCH Competition.

Our online judges have been busy reviewing all of the PITCH applications, with our conference now just weeks away. PITCH Finalists will be competing on stage for prize packages that would make any entrepreneur swoon!

Today we are excited to announce our seventh PITCH Finalist Ranku, which is a discovery engine for online degrees.  Watch them pitch live and get feedback from top-shelf investors!

Company Description

Ranku-Logo-Small copyLaunched in June 2013 Ranku is a discovery engine for online degrees from traditional (non-profit) universities like Georgetown and ASU. We’re a Mark Cuban-backed startup based in New York. Our team consists of education domain experts in online degree monetization and education policy. Founder Bios

Kim and Cecilia have been friends for more than 20 years and grew up playing ice hockey together in Madison, Wisconsin where they were roommates while training for Nationals.

45099ef3a438d2720e595b37514c1fafKim Taylor is co-founder and CEO. Previously Kim was a Director at an ad tech startup working extensively on user acquisition with the University of Phoenix, EDMC, CEC, Kaplan University, 2U and Embanet. Before that she worked at Alloy Media where she was the Education Salesperson of the Year. She’s a guest lecturer in the entrepreneurship program at UC-Berkeley.

CC headshotCecilia Retelle, co-founder and COO, is a lawyer, teacher and most recently the Sr. Director of Education Policy at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Before that Retelle was a lobbyist for the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce. She played ice hockey at the University of Minnesota, twice going to the Frozen Four.
