Close your eyes and think about where you were in 2006 – no pink mustaches floating around on the streets, no way to monetize your spare bedroom as a regular B&B.  In just six years, we’ve made giant leaps in the way technology influences our lives. Given how much the technology landscape has changed our daily routines in the past seven years, what life-changing innovations can we look forward to in the seven years to follow – by the year 2020?

That’s the question our participants, speakers and mentors will address during our upcoming conference, themed: “2020 Vision: Designing Work, Life & Play,” at the Bellagio in Las Vegas.

Here’s a few reasons why you don’t want to miss out on this weekend:

1. Outstanding Speaker Lineup

This year, Megan Smith, Vice-President of Google[x] is our opening keynote and will be discussing what life will be like in 2020 from the perspective of the tech giant that brought us moonshot innovations like Google Glass and self-driving cars. Smith joins the ranks of past keynote speakers: Kara Swisher (The Wall Street Journal’s All Things Digital), Caterina Fake (Founder, Flickr), and Robin Chase (Founder, Zipcar).

She is followed by Kay Koplovitz, a media visionary who not only founded the USA Network and SyFy Channel, but also revolutionized the cable industry with her contribution of an innovative new business model that has become the industry standard, according to her site . Our other speakers include Dawoon Kang (Founder, Coffee Meets Bagel), Jeff Clavier (Founder, SoftTechVC), and many more to be announced in the coming weeks.

2. Intimate Roundtable Mentoring with Seasoned Founders and Investors

Startup life got you stressing? There’s no type of founder therapy more productive than unloading your startup woes to a seasoned vet who has been there, done that, and can shed some light onto your unique challenges. Even more, share your startup challenges with the other founders in your Lunch Mentorship with Seasoned Founders Session and build yourself a handy support network.

Or maybe you’re ready for that next step in your startup’s life – funding. Get authentic, no-holds-barred advice from top notch investors who can provide insight on funding processes, pitch strategies, ask amounts, and more from the other side of the table. Participate in Lunch Mentorship with Investors and we’ll match you up with investors whose areas of investment interest align with your company so you can get targeted advice that relates to your industry. Who knows, maybe you’ll even score a pitch meeting if you play your cards right!

3. Bright Lights, Big City

By now, you’ve likely heard of Zappos founder, Tony Hsieh, and his plan to turn Las Vegas to the next major tech hub. In the midst of an exciting transformation, Las Vegas offers a perfect balance of work and play (mirroring our conference theme) and boasts not only a whole slew of hot new startups, but also a strengthening arts and culture community. The Bellagio Hotel, where our conference will be hosted, is a site to see in and of itself. Mix a little bit of business with pleasure by extending your trip using our deeply discounted rates at the Bellagio!

4. Network with Attendees from Around the World

Get your business cards ready as attendees will be flying in from around the world, making it a prime opportunity for networking. Mixing with entrepreneurs from all different regions will give you insight on how others are running their companies and possibly some new ideas on company culture.

5. Meet the Hottest Companies

Watch some of the hottest early stage startups battle it out during our PITCH competition and vote for who you think should win fantastic prizes including a meeting with Kevin Rose and Shanna Tellerman of Google Ventures and Esther Dyson, an angel investor, and 6 months of office space at Silicon Valley Pad and $12,000 worth of cloud services from Rackspace. Past PITCH Startup Competition Finalists, like Makers Row, have gone on to raise $1.2 million in seed funding, join the ranks of 500 Startups and Y Combinator, and be acquired by the likes of Yahoo!

While early bird ticket sales may have ended for everyone else, Women 2.0 members get extended early bird ticket pricing with an additional 30% off through Sunday, August 4th at 11:59pm PST.
