Please RSVP here.

The featured speaker for this inaugural S.I.P. Women event is Lauren Bass, Founder of LolaBee’s Harvest, an online farmers market sourcing the Bay Areaā€™s best local food from farmers and artisans. Lauren grew up in a horse farm near Cleveland, Ohio. For most of her childhood, Lauren competed in equestrian competitions and earned national titles. She continued her passion as a student at Princeton University with a goal of becoming an Olympian. After she graduated in 2002, Lauren went back to Ohio and led her family’s business to profitability for three years, and she fell in love with being an entrepreneur. She put her Olympic dreams on hold and decided to get an MBA at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, during which she created a version of a business plan for LolaBee’s Harvest. She moved to the San Francisco Bay Area after business school and launched LolaBee’s in November 2011.

S.I.P Women is a new group created by Women 2.0 supporter, Arabella Santiago, Marketing Director at Scoop.it, along with local business professionals from Personality Hotels and Mass Mutual San Francisco. It is their goal to bring together amazing women and bridge the gap between traditional businesses and tech startups. Please note that this is NOT a women’s empowerment group because the women who gather at S.I.P. Women events are already empowered and successful. They gather to have fun, meet others like them and make a difference.

We hope to see you there! Please RSVP here: http://sipwomenmarch2013.eventbrite.com
