Women 2.0 welcomes Julie Zhuo, Facebook’s Director of Product Design, and Naomi Gleit, Facebook’s Senior Director of Product Management, as speakers at the upcoming Women 2.0 Conference on February 14! The two early Facebook employees will present a morning case study about what they did right and wrong at Facebook from a design and product perspective to get to a billion users.

The speakers from Facebook will also share predictions on how the next billion set of users will behave on mobile phones and other interfaces.

Julie Zhuo (pictured above) is the Director of Product Design at Facebook focusing on News Feed, notifications, and new mobile initiatives. She has been at Facebook since 2006 where she’s seen the site grow from 8 million users to over 1 billion. She is an inventor of Facebook Platform and Facebook Connect, and was the primary designer on the external Like button, commenting widget, and other Facebook social plugins across the web.

The second most tenured employee next to Mark, Naomi Gleit (pictured, right) is the Senior Director of Product Management for User, Growth and Engagement at Facebook. Nicole has worked on programs like internationalization intended to break adoption barriers, as well as the data-driven optimization of flows like registration, new user experience, and friend finding.

“The Next Billion” is the future that we see today – the next billion of consumers (women), the next billion of markets (the emerging markets), the next billion of products (new products).
