Angel investor and cause marketer Susan McPherson wears many hats – as speaker, writer, philanthropist, activist, volunteer and marketer. Susan is the SVP/Director of global marketing at Fenton, where she creates visibility for the firm’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) practice.
A regular writer and contributor for the Harvard Business Review, Triple Pundit and Forbes, she has 20+ years experience in marketing, public relations and sustainability communications. Prior to joining Fenton, Susan was vice president, CSR services at PR Newswire.

What is your investment style?
“I prefer a hands on investment, with a frequency of about 6-8 times per year interaction.”
What are some investment dealbreakers?
“Overly confident management, all male executives, no sense of social give-back from the company founders.”
“We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.”
“My partner is Jacques Cousteau’s first grandson.”
