6 Female Founders To Watch From Startup Accelerator Wayra

Women entrepreneurs emerge from global Wayra startup accelerators.

At the Americas Venture Capital Conference in Miami, Wayra drew nearly 200 investors to present 17 startups who have participated in Wayra’s global startup accelerator. Of these 17 companies, 5 have women on their founding teams.

Meet these 6 women entrepreneurs out of Wayra who are innovating through technology:

Linda Franco (Co-Founder & CMO, Machina)
Mexican entrepreneur Linda Franco co-founded Machina, a menswear brand that integrates technology into their designs. Linda was co-host of our Founder Friday Mexico City last November and graduated from Wayra Mexico. Follow her on Twitter at @LindaLFranco.

Lorella Jalles (Co-Founder, Quolaw)
Lawyer Lorella Jalles co-founded Quolaw, an online management software that allows law firms to work from anywhere. Lorella met her co-founder in college. Quolaw graduated from Wayra Argentina. Follow her on Twitter at @lorellaj.

Maritza Lanas (Co-Founder, AgentPiggy)
A specialist in marketing and online games, Maritza Lanas co-founded AgentPiggy, an online piggybank for education purposes. Maritza was co-host of our Founder Friday Santiago last September and graduated from Wayra Chile. Follow her on Twitter at @maritzalanas.

Sindhu Joseph (Co-Founder, Cognicor)
Researcher Sindhu Joseph co-founded Cognicor, a service that automates the management of claims. She was co-host of our Founder Friday Barcelona last September and graduated from Wayra Barcelona. Follow her on Twitter at @sindhutweet.

Sylvie Chin (Co-Founder, ClearKarma)
Serial entrepreneur Sylvie Chin co-founded ClearKarma, a mobile application that helps people allergic to any food to know more about the food they eat and make healthier choices. ClearKarma graduated from Wayra Germany. Follow her on Twitter at @SylvieChin.

Yael Frylinsztein (Co-Founder, Quolaw)
