Women 2.0 Answers Your Questions About PITCH NYC 2012

———————————————————————————————
Dear Women 2.0,

I have some questions about the upcoming PITCH NYC Conference coming up on Wednesday, November 14.

Sincerely,
Undecided Conference Attendee

———————————————————————————————

What is PITCH NYC?

PITCH NYC is a full-day conference of inspirational keynotes, informative panel discussions and innovative pitches from up and coming startups from the global Women 2.0 community. This event is open to anyone and everyone interested in entrepreneurship, technology and innovation.

I’m not pitching a startup, should I come?

YES. The finalists of the Women 2.0 PITCH NYC Startup Competition will be presenting – these are 10 startup teams and the room is open for 800+ people – anyone who thinks they want to be an entrepreneur, or a startup employee, or wants to be a founder one day, or anyone who invests in innovation or even someone is curious to know what the startup world is like!

I’m a dude, can I come?

Of course! The PITCH NYC Conference is open to men and women. We only ask that you’re interested in startups.

How much does PITCH NYC Conference & Competition cost?

Anyone who is a current entrepreneur or wants to be one in the future can purchase a $300 ticket to attend PITCH NYC Conference.

Why should I attend?

To meet like-minded individuals and expand your network, to share your idea, to get inspired, to learn…. There are many reasons to attend the PITCH NYC Conference! Find your own true reason and consider this as an investment in you, your startup (if you have one) and your future.

I don’t have a startup, can I come?

YES – this is a place to get better acquainted with the startup community. Come one come all, no matter what walk of life you come from. Who knows, you might get inspired!

What is the competition part?

The 10 finalists of the Women 2.0 Startup Competition (10 startups total) will be pitching onstage for prizes to judges who will ask tough questions American Idol-style and give feedback.

Learn by watching early-stage companies pitch and hear the types of questions VCs grill companies with. Vote for your favorite startup for the People’s Choice Award – the startup that wins People’s Choice gets a meeting with iconic angel investor Joanne Wilson!

Who attends PITCH NYC Conference?

Designers, developers, marketers, investors – also many others who we would never expect!

What’s the difference between Startup Alley and Fashion 2.0 Alley?

Startup Alley is for startups looking to demo their product at PITCH NYC. Fashion 2.0 is for fashion designers (emerging and current fashion designers) to showcase their products (jewelry, shoes, purses, dresses, clothes, etc) at the conference’s Fashion 2.0 Alley.

This is a rare opportunity to expose your brand to hundreds of smart, achieving women of the Women 2.0 community. To reserve your spot in the Startup Alley or Fashion 2.0 Alley, click here.

What’s the lunchtime mentoring program? Can I enroll for it?

Please hang tight – we will be emailing all registered conference attendees to sign up for mentoring topics this week.

What is the designated hotel for the conference?

Please hang tight – we will be updating that information this week on the conference website.
