Fun facts about PITCH NYC 2012 startup competition applicants:

  • 19% of PITCH NYC applicants were international, 29% came from New York, 21% are from California and 5% came from Massachusetts.
  • More than 8% of our applicants were from Spanish-speaking nations (go Ellas 2.0!).
  • There were also applicants from Montreal, Beirut, London, Tel Aviv, Hong Kong, Singapore, Seoul, Buenos Aires, Bogota, Bangalore, Nairobi, Moscow and many more international cities as well as 23 different U.S. states.
  • Spanned over 10 major verticals, including consumer (54%), B2B/SaaS solutions (28%), education tech (6%), health tech (5%), fashion tech (4%) and finance tech (2%).
