Female Founders To Watch: From Mexican.VC Demo Day – And More Mexican Entrepreneurs!

In collaboration with Ellas 2.0, Women 2.0 explores entrepreneurs in Latin America.

Today was the eagerly anticipated Mexican.VC demo day in San Francisco. The first Silicon Valley seed program for Mexican Internet startups, Mexican.VC invests in Mexican technology companies attacking both local and global markets.

With Women 2.0’s partnership with Ellas 2.0, we will be distributing more content from and to Latin America, including Mexico. We aim to identify and promote the best in Latin American ad Mexican entrepreneurship – inspiring and connecting the next generation.

Here are five Mexican women entrepreneurs to watch:
Celeste North (Co-Founder & CEO, NuFlick)

Cristina Randall (Co-Founder, Conekta)
Engineer Cristina Randall co-founded Conekta, a local search and review platform for Mexico. Follow her on Twitter at @clrandall.

Gaby Vázquez (Co-Founder & Chief Scientific Officer, Elemental Clinical Research)
Based in Guadalajara, Mexico, Gaby Vázquez is an entrepreneur and doctor who specializes in ENT. Follow her on Twitter at @Gaby_Vazquez.

Laura Mendoza (Co-Founder, Unima)
Laura Mendoza is the co-founder of Unima, a biotech company developing products for the control of pathogens in food production systems. Follow her on Twitter at @Laura_MeVi.

Magdaly Santillanez (Founder, Micro Évora)
17 year old Sinaloa, Mexico high school student Magdaly Santillanez won a Young Science Fair for her microcredit project Micro Évora. Follow her on Twitter at @magdaly_esther.
