Angel Investing Training, Pipeline Fellowship, Launches Executive Program for Applicants Outside of Boston and New York City

By A. Lauren Abele (COO, Pipeline Fellowship)
The Pipeline Fellowship trains women philanthropists to become angel investors through education, mentoring, and practice.

Currently, the Pipeline Fellowship offers its traditional programs in Boston (Dec. 2011 to May 2012) and New York City (Jan. 2012 to Jun. 2012).

For applicants based outside of Boston and New York City, the Pipeline Fellowship has created an executive program that will be held in New York City (Jan. 2012 to Jun. 2012).

The executive program differs from our traditional program in a few key ways. The executive program:

  • Condenses the required Pipeline Fellowship events into four trips (as opposed to seven discrete events in our traditional program) in order to minimize travel required and to maximize group time together.
  • Incorporates several additional social and networking events to facilitate more group bonding among Fellows who live in different cities.
  • Includes scheduled work sessions for the Fellows to conduct program-related work, including business selection and due diligence, while they are together in NYC.

Like our traditional Pipeline Fellowship program, the executive program:

  • Matches each Fellow with an experienced angel investor to serve as a mentor.
  • Includes a practice component, where each Fellow commits to invest US$5,000 in a woman-led, for-profit social venture selected by the group.
  • Educates Fellows on the basics of angel investing through our signature Pipeline Fellowship Conference, signature Pipeline Fellowship Pitch Summit, and workshop series.
  • Inducts graduates into our exclusive Pipeline Angels alumnae network.

The cost for the Pipeline Fellowship executive program is US$4,500.
