By Betsy Aoki (Senior Program Manager, Bing)

Bing is proud to support the Women 2.0 Conference in San Francisco and we are looking forward to meeting hundreds of women entrepreneurs ready to take the world by storm! And, as we did last year, we’d like to offer several unique ways that Bing can help women-founded startups achieve liftoff.

First, we will be offering insights around investment and funding. Representatives of the Bing Fund, looking for startups that are building disruptive online experiences, will be seated at lunch tables for mentoring ready to answer questions about the Fund operations, the types of startups encouraged to apply, and what kinds of investments Microsoft makes in Bing Fund companies.

Folks who remember the Bing Booster program for startups will recall Jacob Mullins of Shasta Ventures – he will also be joining the mentor tables to give VC advice to consumer Internet startup founders.

But, not everyone is ready for the whirligig of venture capital. If you are still in an early stage, working on getting customers online or visibility for your web site, Bing can also help.

As part of the amazing Women 2.0 speaker lineup, search engine marketing guru Duane Forrester will give a brief presentation around improving your company’s online visibility and web traffic. He’ll be talking about the latest tools that can help you analyze how well your site is doing and what pitfalls to avoid. Afterward, seven (7) lucky Women 2.0 entrepreneurs will get individual one-on-one consultations with Duane during the lunch break!

Maybe you are just starting out, and you aren’t sure you are constructing your company web site correctly in order to get the best ranking from search engines. Maybe you have just pivoted and need to redesign and add new content so that you show up in the new business area your startup is focusing on. Or, maybe you have paid for search engine marketing and keyword ads, and still aren’t getting the right customers coming to your site.

Duane can tackle these issues and more when you walk him through our web site and chat with him about your business needs. He can also walk you through the Bing SEO Analyzer (something Google doesn’t have) and show you how it can help you fine-tune your pages and content after the conference is over.

Sign up here and let us know more about your company and why you need a SEO/SEM consultation at this stage of your business (your web site should have been up at least 6 months). In your signup, please be precise about your current traffic and future goals.

We will be accepting applications until Monday, February 4, 2013 and our friends at Women 2.0 will be contacting entrepreneurs with their scheduled appointment time.

Duane Forrester is a Senior Product Manager with Bing’s Webmaster Program. Previously, he was an in-house SEM running the SEO program for MSN. He’s also the founding co-chair of SEMPO’s In-House SEM Committee, was formerly on the Board of Directors for SEMPO and is the author of two books: How To Make Money With Your Blog and Turn Clicks Into Customers. He was a moderator at Search Engine Forums, maintains a blog and used to write for Search Engine Land. As part of the Bing Booster program, he has advised startups on SEO/SEM practices at incubators in Boston, New York and Silicon Valley.
