Modalyst, Co-Founded By CEO Jill Sherman, Selected As 7th PITCH SF Startup Competition Finalist

The seventh PITCH SF 2013 Startup Competition finalist has been selected – congrats Modalyst co-founder and CEO Jill Sherman!

Congrats to New York City-based Modalyst and co-founder and CEO Jill Sherman for being selected to present live at the Women 2.0 Conference on February 14 in San Francisco!

The seventh startup to be announced out of a total of 10 finalists presenting, Modalyst is a wholesale, B2B marketplace connecting emerging designers and independent boutiques. Tapping into the changing needs of retailers, the Modalyst platform is based on collective buys which allows owners and those involved in purchase-making decisions to place orders through their vetted platform with other merchants for greater efficiency.

Jill Sherman, CEO and Co-Founder of Modalyst, spent over 11 years working in luxury fashion. Most recently, she ran the Miu Miu Visual Department at Prada USA and Asia Pacific, accountable for the strategic development of the brand’s image and expansion within all boutique and wholesale accounts throughout the US and Asia.

Prior to Prada, Jill worked at Harvey Nichols managing the Buying Team, at Vogue Magazine as a Fashion Assistant in the Accessories Department, and at Italian Vogue as a Stylist Assistant on the photoshoots. Jill has lived in Asia for 5 years and holds an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Business.
