We are two weeks away from Women 2.0’s first PITCH Conference in New York City!

GoldieBlox Founder and CEO Debbie Sterling is joining the MAKER panel with Roominate’s Alice Brooks, Everpurse’s Liz Salcedo and Adafruit Industries’ Limor Fried. These women entrepreneurs have run successful Kickstarter campaigns with extraordinary results – hear them talk about the next generation of makers and doers. The PITCH Conference hosts a full day of talks and inspiration from people who have started and grown companies successfully. Full agenda and speaker roster for PITCH NYC here.

About GoldieBlox’s Debbie Sterling:

  • Raised almost double her target on Kickstarter – The GoldieBlox Kickstarter campaign raised a total of $285,881 (with a goal of $150,000) from 5,519 backers in just one month. The Kickstarter campaign generated over 25,000 likes on Facebook.
  • She’s an engineer turned entrepreneur – Debbie has spent her life savings to prototype, test and get her ducks in a row for an initial run of 5,000 GoldieBlox units. The Kickstarter was launched to raise money to get the engineering toy produced so it can go into the hands of girls ages 5 to 9.
  • She’s literally building the future generation of female engineers – “The campaign proved that consumers actually wanted to buy the toy for their girls; that parents want more for their daughters than just princesses, they want to give their daughters more options to choose what they want to be when they grow up,” said Debbie Sterling (via The Hairpin)

Hear from Debbie Sterling and the dozen more successful women entrepreneurs at Women 2.0 PITCH Conference on November 14, 2012 in New York City. You can still get your $300 ticket to join the full day of talks, inspiration, mentoring, networking and festivities
