Celebrating a diverse range of Latina entrepreneurs in the United States – and beyond!

When Women 2.0 partnered with Ellas 2.0, founded by Patricia Araque in Spain, we set out to identify emerging Latina entrepreneurs. The media is buzzing about Latina entrepreneurs, talking about how why Latinas are leaving corporate America.

Entrepreneurs wear many hats, from functional roles in their startups to affinity groups they can tap into. Take for example the venerable Skimlinks Founder and CEO Alicia Navarro – her Twitter profile reveals a smorgasbord of identities: “Spanish-blooded, Aussie-born, London-headquartered, San Francisco-based…”

Connecting over a shared identity is one way to leverage a business relationship/network, so take advantage of these organizations and groups that are keen on supporting Latina entrepreneurs.

Mexican.VC, Silicon Valley’s first seed fund for scalable Mexican Internet startups, is currently accepting applications for summer/fall. There is also the NewME accelerator for minority-led startups, StartupBus in Mexico, the Latino Startup Alliance in the Silicon Valley co-founded by Jennifer Arguello, and of course Ellas 2.0 headquartered in Madrid, Spain and run by Patricia Araque. Latinas looking to start a high-tech, high-growth company or startup have plenty of resources to leverage.
