Women To Watch At SXSWi

Last week we named female founders to watch at SXSWi. We will be doing the same this week at SXSW – finding the best women entrepreneurs out there and letting you know about them!

Our friends at TechCrunch are speaking – Writer Alexis Tsosis will be at the Startup America Live event as well as “Internet Bubble The Sequel: 1999 All Over Again?” TechCrunch TV Reporter Colleen Taylor will be speaking at “How the Wallet was Won: The End of Paper Receipts”.

Willo O’Brien (Co-Founder & VP Marketing, Stitch Labs) is showcasing her startup on Saturday, March 10 at Tech Cocktail’s SXSW #Startuplife Celebration – take a minute to vote for Stitch Labs for the People’s Choice award!

Erica Berger will be on a panel “Getting Experts onto your Passion Project!” on Tuesday.

Want press for your startup at SXSWi?

Have news, met milestones or launched a product? Email editor@women2.org with some details – we can help you get some press.

Benefits Of Attending SXSW

With thousands upon thousands of new technologists gathering for one week out of the year, the SXSW attendee will be connected with successful entrepreneurs from coast to coast – even across the pond! Find potential angel investors, or a new startup co-founder or team member.

Listen to keynotes from women entrepreneurs Amber Case (Co-Founder & CEO, GeoLoqi) and Jennifer Pahlka (Founder & Executive Director, Code For America).

Meet both successul and up-and-coming women in technology. Support your female-founded startup by joining the Foodspotting SXSW Street Food Fest and TaskRabbit festivities. Hope you got a ticket to the sold-out Beauty Bar X, where Red Stamp founder Erin Newkirk will be speaking on the Beauty Bar panel

Brooke Farrell, Founder and CEO of RecycleMatch will be at SXSW as a non-speaker, having been a speaker for the last 2 years of SXSW. Her startup has pivoted from an online marketplace model to SaaS model, making changes to the corporate structure that are now allowing RecycleMatch to pursue woman owned certification.

Adda Birnir, co-founder of Skillcrush will be at Women 2.0 events. Built on the premise that learning new technical skills should be entertaining, delightful and approachable, Skillcrush is targeting the Bright Young Things who are looking to skill-up, design new products, create new ventures, and share these successes in a collaborative environment.

Laurie Davis, Founder and CEO of eFlirt Expert will be hosting a panel on “Consumer Patterns Revealed by Dating Site Insiders”. Maria Ly, co-founder of Skimble, is on a panel “Fit Together: How Fitness Goes High-Tech + Social”.

Don’t miss Nilofer Merchant on Saturday morning at Tech Superwomen: Mentors and Mentees, FTW – and don’t miss her book signing.

We will be blogging from SXSWi for the next week, so tweet at us (@women2) if you want to meet up in Austin!
