The “20 Under 20” Fellowship provides individuals under 20 years old $100,000 to leave traditional educational systems for 2 years — no finals, no student loan debt, just the freedom and support to focus on creative ideas that can help change the world.
While much has been said about the need to encourage more women in scientific and technological pursuits, the Thiel Fellowship is an innovative and prestigious place for young women to follow their passions in a highly creative, collaborative and supportive environment. The relationships that Fellows build with each other and with the Thiel mentorship network will last them their entire lives.
Join the program on Thursday, December 15 at 4pm PST at Ustream.tv/channel/thiel-fellowship. In the livestreamed webcast:
- Current Thiel Fellows Eden Full and Laura Deming (pictured, right) will share their experiences.
- Program Director Danielle Strachman and Advisor Deepali Roy will discuss the ins-and-outs of the Fellowship and application process.
- Entrepreneur Bill Hunt will introduce the mentorship network and talk about how he helps Fellows like Eden and Laura on their individual journeys.
The Thiel Fellowship hopes to attract more creative, motivated and bright young women to apply for the opportunity to pursue their passions through the “20 Under 20” Thiel Fellowship.
