Huffington Post Lists Top 27 Women in Tech to Follow on Twitter

Yesterday on the Huffington Post, this time the readers picked “27 Women in Tech You Need to Follow on Twitter.”

These names are a response to the previous list of best women in tech to follow on Twitter that was posted by the Huffington Post a few days ago.

Here is the list of top women, chosen by the readers:

#1 — Padmasree Warrior is the chief technology officer at Cisco. Previously, she was the first female executive at Motorola. Follow her on Twitter at @Padmasree.

#2 — Rachel Sklar is an author, self-described “media addict,” founder of charity site Charitini, and co-founder of ChangeTheRatio, a women’s organization that aims to increase the number of women “onstage.” Her work has been published in The New York Times, Glamour, The Financial Times, The Chicago Tribune, The New York Post, and Village Voice. #3 — Women 2.0 is an organization that aims to “increase the number of female founders of technology startups.” Follow Women 2.0 on Twitter at @women2.

#4 — Jen Consalvo is chief operating office and co-editor of Tech Cocktail. Previously, she worked in product development at AOL. Follow her on Twitter at @noreaster.

#5 — Lisa Phillips is a part of the technical operations team at Twitter. She’s also a junior roller derby coach in Seattle. Follow her at @lisaphillips.

#6 — Cali Lewis is host of GeekBeat.TV, and tech correspondent for FOX and CNN. Follow her on Twitter at @CaliLewis.

#7 — Sara Chipps is a software developer, and organizer of Girl Develop It, which teaches women how to develop applications from start to finish. Follow her on Twitter at @SaraJChipps.

#8 — Elizabeth Stark is co-founder of Open Video Alliance, which promotes the free and open use of online video technology. She is also a lecturer in Computer Science, and leading researcher in the field of information society. Follow her on Twitter at @starkness.
